Tansi Godwill Tansi

Executive Director

Tansi Godwill Tansi is the Executive Director at ECoDAs. He is passionate and committed to working with people and communities to sustainably improve their livelihoods. He provides leadership and strategic direction, ensures effective implementation of programs and projects and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the organisation.

Tansi holds a B.Sc. in Environmental Science and M.Sc. in Natural Resources and Environmental Management from the University of Buea, Cameroon. He is trained on the Creative Collaboration and Systems Thinking by the Creative Action Institute and New England Biolabs Foundation, USA. Tansi also has skills and knowledge on MIRADI Open Standards for the Practice of Conservation or Adaptive Management trained by Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF) -Cameroon in partnership with the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFW).

 

 


Tansi has worked with various environmental Civil Society Organisations in Cameroon, such as Pro Climate International, Sustainable Run for Development and the Community Action for Development. He headed the CAD’s technical unit and the Livelihood Component of the Green Heart of Africa Civil society Support project and the Leading the Change Project of the WWF Cameroon funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.

Tansi brings to ECODAS a wealth of education and progressive experience in livelihood and food security, Climate Smart Agriculture, Natural Resource Management, Community-Based Biodiversity Conservation, Gender and Human Right Based Approaches as well as research and capacity building.
